Great house with a wonderful location to spend some time at Dale Hallow Golf course

The place is beautiful. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom. The kitchen is fantastic and well stocked. There aren’t cleaning supplies or washer/dryer. We weren’t given a key to lock the front door, so we had to leave it unlocked. There is an “innkeeper” at the location and I am assuming they have the cleaning supplies and washer/dryer. When we checked out, we followed all the directions and made sure to get it as clean as possible with no cleaning supplies. However, Karen sent a message a few hours after we left saying that we were inconsiderate and left the place a mess. We had pictures, so we knew that wasn’t accurate. There was a storm and we had to use the towels to clean up the dirt in the front entryway, because there were no cleaning supplies. We couldn’t wash the towels, so we put them in a bathtub in hot water. We left a note explaining this. She insisted we buy new towels and pay an additional cleaning fee beyond the $200 cleaning fee we already paid.

We had 10 family members staying ranging in age from 83 to 21 and all found Copper Hollow to be spacious and welcoming. Comments included large and well equipped rooms, we found the linens and house very clean and well maintained. Each Family cooked 3 meals in the large kitchen during our stay and found the kitchen easy to cook and well stocked with pans and utensils for all. Overall a good location to Dale Hollow State Park located just outside the park golf course. We went boating each day and came home wet and tired end enjoyed hot showers and baths. The only recommendations we had was a washer and dryer would have been nice and the very interesting fan in the den area we could not find a remote for. We plan to return in the future.

This was our 2nd time back as a group and Karen was a wonderful host. The house is perfect for our annual golf trip.
