The home was the peaceful and tranquil retreat we were looking for. The winter weather was awful however we were cuddled in with plenty of light, space and relaxing area with views. We did not mind a bit. Lovely in the winter. I would think it would be gorgeous for the summer. I hope someday when I am visiting MN again I will have a chance to experience the home in the summer months. We saw eagles perched in the trees and fishing on the lake, geese, ducks, loons, squirrels on the deck and bunnies in the snow. Thank you for the peaceful retreat for my sister's recuperation from cancer surgery. Good medicine.

This house was perfect for our girls weekend on the coldest weekend yet for the winter of 2023-2024! Stayed MLK weekend. There were nine of us and we planned to stay in the whole time and the space was plenty big for us! Most of our time was spent around the big table, that fit us comfortably, playing games or on the big couches talking, laughing and catching up! Kitchen had everything we needed for a weekend away! The views were beautiful even if the lake was finally frozen over. Gene was communicative in a timely fashion. Thank you!

We spent our family Christmas here. We had a wonderful time.....the home was even decorated, which included a Christmas tree! The grandkids loved it! The home was clean & had a wonderful cozy feel! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our family meals. The geese on the lake were spectacular! A huge eagle even made an appearance! We would love to stay here in the summer. Gene was easy to reach when we had a question. Thanks for a lovely holiday stay!

This home was comfortable, extremely well furnished, and even had wonderful little details like seasonal decorations. The kids particularly loved the Christmas tree and there was plenty of room for all families to have their own space. We'd definitely stay here again!

I’m from Washington and stayed at Gene and Shawna’s place during my wedding week. The place is so wonderful. My guest came from different places and it is their first time in Minnesota and we all had fun during our stay. Pretty much provided basic necessities as well. Definitely would like to come back in Summer.
