The apartment is located in a well served area: a few minutes from a big supermarket, but you can find lots of small grocery stores also just around the corner along the road which connects the coast to Finalborgo full of coffee shop, bars, restaurants and bike stores (one of them just around the corner); it takes a few minutes walking to the train station and 10 minutes to the beaches. All this area is flat so very easy. Moreover, at 5 minutes walking distance you can visit Finalborgo, the ancient medieval city full of excellent pubs, restaurants, fast foods, shopping hotspots, MTB and climbing stores.
Finale Ligure, in addition to a beautiful coastline, boasts a significant natural and historical heritage.
It is divided into 3 boroughs which has been different towns until 1927; Finalmarina and Finalpia are the seaside part of the town, while Finalborgo is slightly further inland (about 1.5 km from the coast) and consists of an old walled medieval town.
There are also ancient hamlets, such as Varigotti, a very popular seaside spot with its old fishermen's houses by the sea, Perti with its Roman and Medieval ruins and the plateau called Le Manie, an outstanding natural scenery.
This unique and diverse natural landscape, makes the area an international destination for outdoor activities, not only mountain biking and cycling, but also rock climbing, running and hiking.
In particular, what makes Finale Ligure such an outstanding bike holiday destination is the variety of trails, not only for experienced cyclists and mountain bikers, but also for relaxed bicycle fans, so you can either cycle up to the trail heads or book an uplift day with one of the local shuttle companies. There is a unique trail network, specifically over 200 km of natural trails in the hills surrounding the town; whether you prefer cross country or freeride descents, everyday you can try a new exciting trail. A few trails are located along the cliffs overlooking the sea, others more inland and they vary from sharp, jagged rocks to smooth winding descents through the Mediterranean scrub!
Concerning the rock climbing area, it covers 10 square kilometers and it is made up of a series of hills, cliffs, crags and plateaus. The rock is a marine limestone which creates slabs, smooth and carved rock walls and steep massive overhangs.
Finally, you can combine adventurous experiences with more relaxing ones, spending the rest of the day at the seaside. Finale Ligure boasts one of the widest and longest sandy beach in the Italian Riviera; what's more, along its waterfront promenade with an impressive row of palm trees, you can find a wide range of restaurants and bars.
