Located on the mighty Choptank River, The Skipjack features a comfortable King Size bed, a large couch, mini fridge, coffee maker, wi-fi and a private bathroom with a shower. We also offer a beachfront setting, kayaks, breakfast, a pool that is open seasonally, and plenty of space to relax. The Skipjack features a comfortable King Size bed, wi-fi, and private bathroom which has been freshly painted and modernized. There is a sectional couch in the room for reading and relaxing, a hightop table and chairs, and the room has refurbished hardwood floors with oriental carpets. There is a closet for storing/hanging clothes, a coffee station, and a mini fridge. The room also includes a desk and chair if you want to work. Linens and towels as well as soap and toilet paper are provided. There is over 12 Acres to explore including a 500 foot beach with fabulous sunsets! There are plenty of attractions, events, crabbing, fishing, golfing, and food and music festivals going on all year as well as charter fishing, SUP classes, and boat rentals. We are happy to recommend things to do or see while you are here.

Michelle and Woody were amazing hosts. They were very welcoming. Our communication was easy and they were very quick to respond. They gave us a tour during the check in and had great recommendations for places to visit and eat. Their house is gorgeous and in a great location. So peaceful. Let me tell you. This place has great amenities. It’s by the water and they let us use their kayaks. They made us breakfast and everything was delicious. The room itself was super clean and cute. This place is great for a small or a large group of people. Highly recommend. We will definitely come back.

Property as described. Beauty, nature, and tranquility to enjoy all day long. Birds chirping symphonies with calming river concerts bringing joys to the soul! Our room was spacious, clean and had everything needed including a little fridge. Our stay was perfect. Exactly as I was hoping for. Special thanks for gourmet style breakfasts served in a beautiful dining room with amazing views. Thank you Michelle and Woody!

The Anchorage is located in a quiet neighborhood easily accessed from Route 50 East - it's also on the way to Ocean City which is only an hour away and ideal for a weekend get away from DC, Philly, Virginia, or other parts of Maryland.
The best way to get around is by car. Talbot County is home to the charming towns and villages of Easton, Oxford, Queen Anne, St. Michaels and Trappe. With over 600 miles of Chesapeake Bay waterfront, it’s the treasure of Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Neighboring Dorchester County (Cambridge right across the bridge) offers charming towns, events, and festivals including the Strawberry Festival, ghost walks, beer and wine tasting, The Harriett Tubman Museum, Blackwater National Refuge and much more. Cambridge also hosts the famous Ironman and Eagleman. Excellent restaurants and bars are close by such as Avas, Theos, The Coffee Trappe, a brewpub (RAR) and many other options depending on your palate.
