Hope and Tom were very responsive to my many questions! They even sent me a demo video on how to light a fire. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay! It was extremely cozy and we LOVED the wood burning fire place. I was able to cook some meals there, but I would definitely bring my own pans if I come again since their selection is limited. However, the road was extremely muddy and unkept (not their fault at all but wanted to give a heads up about the driver there). Some other things to note was that Netflix wasn’t working and the password to the wifi isn’t what is listed (but you can find it on the bottom of the router). We didn’t mind this too much because we weren’t home a lot. We also were able to meet the neighborhood cat who we named Mr. Whiskers. He sat at the porch and outside of the door to greet us every time we left.

When we first drove into the neighborhood it was very hard to navigate all these turns on top of a horrible dirt/mud road. The drive from the closest town is not 10 minutes more like 20. We didn’t leave the house at all. When we got there the cabin was way smaller than expected and low stocked. There was one big pan and a couple of pots. The bbq grill was so rusted and dirty we chose not to use it. The bathroom shower door was broken so water would leak. To top it all off there was this clingy annoying cat that would jump all over us and our stuff when we were trying to be outside and enjoy some nature. It was quite disturbing so we messaged Hope and Tom in hopes something could be done but there was no and still has not been an answer from them. If we needed something at all during the trip you mean to tell me they wouldn’t have answered? The house was fun to be in during a rainy day but not at all for a whole weekend getaway.

Great private getaway! It was hard to locate the cabin upon arrival after sundown and navigating the road in the rain was a bit difficult. Not far from coffee and groceries which was nice!

A beautiful cabin surrounded by such a peaceful forest! I stayed here with my best friend for a quick getaway for a few days and Hope & Tom's place was absolutely perfect. We initially had a little trouble finding the place but Hope & Tom were super responsive and the check-in instructions were very simple and easy. Middletown is also a very quaint town to explore. We spent our second day visiting the little shops, library, art gallery, museum, and coffee shop. Great stay, highly recommend!
