Torre Mar was perfect for the 3 of us and is in a great location in Puerto Ayora. An easy walk to anywhere in town. The 3 A/C units were a nice welcome home after a day in the heat. John, our host, was very attentive and willing to help. His place is very comfortable, clean, and well supplied. We were sad to not meet Donna as she was from our state but traveling while we were there in Galapagos. The outdoor area is very relaxing, and private. John helped with booking taxi service and coordinated an amazing boat trip to Bartolome. He checked in with us often, was very friendly, and was quick to respond. We would definitely go back and stay at Torre Mar again. we liked how close it is to many restaurants, shopping, and town center with excursions but still found it to be quiet and easy for us to unwind at the end of a busy day.

The Casita was clean and comfortable. It was unseasonably warm during our stay and the A/C in every room was much appreciated. John was easy to get a hold of via Airbnb chat and took care of anything we needed. Would stay here again.

The apartment is very nice. It has many amenities. I cannot fault the apartment. However, we had to wash many of the dishes before we could use them. I found John ‘s manner offensive. When we arrived, instead of a friendly greeting, he was annoyed with me that I had not replied to the message he sent the day before to give him my passport details. It was like I was some kind of delinquent employee of his. The day before we were travelling and did not have Internet connection. Also, John had told us we could leave our luggage there on the last day until our ferry left at 3 PM as we had to check out at 9:00 AM. At check in, he told us we could only leave our luggage until 12 PM. But we could check out at 9:30 AM, no later. When I came to the office at 9:30 AM, nobody was there! I rang the bell multiple times. Nobody! I went to look for an alternative place to leave our luggage. I went to John’s office at 10 AM, rang the bell, it looked like he had just woke up. No space to write more

We had an incredible stay! Check in was a little difficult as we do not speak Spanish but their receptionist was so patient and kind to us! The garden is gorgeous and the perfect spot for a morning coffee. The place is super close to the Main Street in town and easy to walk to. Donna & John were great hosts who responded quickly to questions and offered great recommendations. I highly recommend a trip to the Galapagos and to stay with Donna & John!!
