Bayous beat beaches any day, and you can always make the easy drive to spend a few hours at the beach. Here, you can sit and see and hear the wildlife; owls, mullet, egrets, and even an array of domestic chicken breeds. Annie even invited me to stay in one of her other lodgings during a storm, but I was fine in this cosy tiny house. Turn on the downward facing dock light and leave the other lights off at night, and you can watch the fingerlings (and perhaps a hungry larger fish) right off the deck. Visit Eden State Park across the bay and see where "The Frogs" was filmed in 1972.

I had a great time staying at Annie’s place. It is an adorable and eclectic spot. The little dock on the water is the perfect place for a morning coffee to watch the fish jump, and be on the look out for the blue heron! Annie recommended great restaurants and was helpful with whatever we needed during our stay. We spoke with Annie’s husband while he fed their chickens. It’s a magical spot with great hosts. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Annie's place! First, Annie is maybe the nicest owner we've worked with. She was very attentive to our needs and super helpful with suggestions on where to go and the area. Annie's place was cute, comfy and affordable and only a 15 minute drive to the beach!

Das Tiny House ist etwas ganz besonderes: auf wenig Raum ist alles vorhanden was man braucht - und man fühlt sich einfach rasch wohl! Die gemütliche Veranda mit Blick auf den Kanal ist wundervoll und die Gastgeber haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und waren sehr aufmerksam. Alles in allem ohne Einschränkung für alle zu empfehlen, die auch mal etwas einfacher übernachten möchten - dafür aber etwas Besonderes erleben möchten!
