I stayed at this beautiful island with my family of 3 which includes my 3 years old child .All three of us enjoyed every minute we were at this cottage. We parked our vehicle at the government dock and from the dock we got picked up by Donna in her boat . 30 mins boat ride to the island was amazing.. once we got to the island , we transferred the luggage from boat to a golf chart and took it to the cottage that is few (1-2)mins walking distance . Kitchen had almost everything we needed. It will be good idea to take paper towels and foil paper if needed. Salt and pepper was available. We had taken other spices and butter / oil with us . Fridge is big and with lots of freezer space in it for basic use. We enjoyed the kayak and Sups ( adult life jackets were available) . Logs were handy right next to the fire pit . Overall experience was amazing.. I travelled 4-5 hours with my toddler to stay at this place , and it was the best decision. Donna and Adrine are very accommodating and friendly.

Our weekend on King’s Island was truly amazing. The rawness of nature was breathtaking. Adrian and Donna were extremely friendly and accommodating. Their knowledge of the land and the history of the island was refreshing. We are so grateful they are able to share this wonderful place with others. The cabins were clean, private and well-stocked and the views were breathtaking. We were able to swim and paddle around the area. Donna was always there to greet us with a smile and a hand out of the water when we returned. We will definitely be back!

This place is AWESOME! We got picked up by boat at the Nestor Falls marina, and it was about a 20-30 minute ride to the island. Northern Ontario has had to deal with some record breaking water levels and they have worked hard to make the place awesome in spite of that. We actually got offered the cabin beside the one we booked which had a fire pit and slightly more privacy and had campfires every night and used the fireplace inside the cabin for the cooler mornings. The hosts are phenomenal, the cabin was so clean, spacious and had everything you need. Listening to the loons at night was honestly my number 1 on my trip bucket list and I got exactly what I wanted :) We also saw many turtles. We didn't end up fishing this time but when we come back someday, we definitely will. If you're looking for a cool, unique getaway in Northern Ontario, this is the place to go! I could write so many more things about how much we enjoyed our time here but instead I'll just say i'm already thinking about how to make the 20 hour car ride work (we're from southern Ontario ha) so we can come again for an even longer stay :) Thank you for a great stay!

Me and my boyfriend had no idea what to expect. It was a beautiful boat ride to get to the island we’d be staying on. The cabin was spotless. We fished right off the island and caught two pickerel which was pretty sweet since we didn’t have a boating licence. The host Donna and Adrian were super professional and very friendly. It’s definatly a must do again kinda trip.

King Island is an island of paradise! The hosts are incredibly accommodating and genuinely want to make your stay the ideal vacation you were dreaming of. The cabins are very private, so you can enjoy both socializing with others on the island or intimate times with your loved ones. They offer canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards in the stay, which there are many little islands around King Island that you can paddle to and explore. Kind Island is a fishing lodge and would highly recommend taking advantage of the fishing opportunities they offer! For this first trip we did not, but lucky for us we were treated by Adrian who caught and cooked us a fantastic Walleye! Adrian and Donna also offer fully cooked meals throughout your stay, if you do not want to bring groceries and cook for yourself. For larger family stays, would highly recommend that option and can't wait to bring my family to experience it together. King Island has been one of my favorite holiday vacation spots I've had!
