A cabin built in 2019 located in Hvalfjörður, around 50 min. from Reykjavík - The perfect spot to enjoy the nature, beautiful northern lights and amazing view, still close to the city and all major attractions in south-west Iceland. This small, quiet, beautiful and cozy house will hopefully amaze you with a modern look but warm and cozy at the same time. The cabin is located in the north of Hvalfjörður, in a hill facing the south with beautiful surroundings and ocean view. From there you'll be able to reach Reykjavík in only 50 minutes but still staying remote, enjoying the quiet nature close to some of the main attractions. There you will find great walking trails, for example to the highest waterfall in Iceland Glymur, only around 10 min drive. Opened in summer 2022 is Hvammsvík, Hot Springs will leave you both relaxed and invigorated, Hvammsvík is just on the other side of the fjord, 20 min drive. You have mountains for hiking, Þingvellir is within an hour away and from there you can visit the Geysir and Golden Circle. In the west are many wonderful attractions like Langjökull clacier (Húsafell), and Snæfellsjökull glacier among many others. Next to the cabin you can visit our friendly Icelandic horses or have a walk to the beach where you might see seals. During winter you'll have the opportunity of enjoying the northern lights just outside on the patio or watch them from the warm inside through the extra high glassfront on three sides of the house. The cabin (around 35m2) is perfect for couples or a group of 3 people travelling together. You'll find a small bathroom with shower, towels and a hairdryer. The entrance will take you into the open living room with a warm style and fully equipped kitchen where you'll find a refrigerator, oven, stove, toaster, electric kettle, dolce gusto coffee machine and pots for cooking. In the open space you'll feel the cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy quality time under a blanket admiring the view. We have a sleeping sofa where up to two person can sleep. You can walk out through a sliding door on a patio with hot tube. In the cabin you'll find a queen size bed and a tv that you can watch Netflix. Good internet connection is in the house. In winter you might need a 4x4 to reach the cabin.
