Really nice place (actually even better than the photos in my opinion), in a great location, close to the museums, the market, the waterfront. Check-in very straight forward, excellent communication. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend.

We loved our stay at Reuben and Ai Ping's. The apartment is a beautiful traditional wooden design with native belan (ironwood) structure and finishes. The location is right near shops and and you can pop out and sit down for a mean within a minutes walk. Everything was functional and pleasing the only exception was that the space above the front door is always open to the street so the activity from below is quote present at times. That said, all in all it was a very enjoyable time.

Excellent location on a quiet street, walking distance from downtown’s main attractions. Definitely try the breakfast options on the street !

I stayed here for four nights. Reuben's place is certainly very unique, and the location is very central. The booking process and check-in went smooth, also if it was a little hard to open the numeric padlock in the dark. The building looks different from the photos, as does the interior. This unit is not insulated against noise at all. People walking pass the building at night while talking can be heard as they would be standing in the room. Nothing for light sleepers. Fortunately there's no car traffic in the alley. The unit smelled a little mildewy, likely because the water in the shower doesn't completely run off and humidity in the walls. There were lots of mosquitoes at night, keeping the air conditioner on is advisable. The shutters can't be closed and locked, hence sitting on the sofa with the lights on doesn't give privacy. I slept reasonably well despite this, and enjoyed the spacious flat. The very steep staircase up from the street level could cause a problem for some.
