Lucica and her husband were so welcoming from the moment we stepped through the door. She showed us to our room, which was the top floor Japanese Salon - WOW. Afterwards we sat down in the communal lounge, which is beautiful by the way, so homely and comfortable and had a coffee with her. My husband is Romanian so he kindly translated but she does speak little English. The place is amazing, they have an impressive BBQ area and garden for the summer, which obviously we didn't use in January but we did get to meet their beautiful Ponies! I may have fallen in love with her two dogs too (which do stay outside - for those who don't like animals) Our room was amazing, we had a fantastic Spa bath which was well appreciated as we were on our way to the Balea Ice Hotel after we checked out, we had a complimentary champagne and palinka in our room waiting for us. Overall, we were very impressed by the bed and breakfast, Lucica and Gheorge and the hospitality in general. We will actually return with our family and friends next time to enjoy full use of the space.

Hi I'm Lucica. My Husband Gheorghe and I manage the bed&breakfast "SilvAnka ". This is a family owned and run facility in heartland of Transylvania, just north of Brasov and close to Castle Bran (Dracula castle). We have lived in the area for many years and love the peaceful relaxed way of life in our little village Valcele. Famous for its mineralerised water springs which have been used for curative properties since the time of the Romans. Just 10 minutes walk away , you can relax &refresh in our local Spa “Aquasic Valcele”, that uses the famous Valcele water in the private pools and 2 saunas. There is also a gym and recreation area at this facility. There are also the traditional public springs in the center of the village,where you can collect & drink the “Aqua de Valcele”!
