特拉华州山地林场 · 整套客用套房 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Miller Suite: Mid Century Modern in the Forest
The Miller Suite was built and finished to complement the 1965 mid-century modern main home that we occupy full time. We share a walkway from the driveway and we access the same outdoor garbage cans, but we share no other circulation. This 1-bedroom, 1-bath, private entry suite is perfect for your next road trip, weekend away, proposal, babymoon, anniversary, or even a romantic place for your quiet elopement. Nestled in the oaks behind a privacy fence, the entire property feels secluded. Weather on the Monterey Peninsula is temperate, averaging in the low 60s. If it gets warmer, the Dutch door and windows create a comfortable breeze. Any cooler, and the new high-efficiency heater will warm you right up. It's a cozy space, most comfortable for a single, a couple, or a couple with a small child (there's an ottoman that folds out into a single bed). A refrigerator will keep your local wines cool, and hold your other refreshments as well. A microwave is available for use in the room. Your Keurig has the fixings for both coffee and hot chocolate. A 43" Smart TV is ready for your NetFlix credentials. Blackout curtains on the floor-to-ceiling windows ensure a good sleep after your big night. A small, private patio is a lovely place to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine (when it's warm enough!). We do not allow pets (no matter how small or well-behaved), as we have two dogs in the main house who are very protective of their turf (they are not allowed in the suite either). Thanks for understanding that bringing your animal is a hard no.
The Miller Suite was wonderful!! Great location & the neighborhood was beautiful! You have free access to the 17 Mile Drive and super close to both downtown Monterey and Carmel. It felt very private and safe which was my main concern as a solo traveler. It was the perfect place to get some rest in between San Francisco and Big Sur. One weekend just wasn’t enough I will definitely be back to stay at The Miller Suite.
Location, location, location! The Miller Suite is set in what feels like a secluded forest hideaway within ~15-min. drive (give or take) from just about anywhere you'd want to go on the Monterey Peninsula. The bed was super-comfy; the Dutch door, great to crack open to the salt ocean air; the snacks—such as honey sticks from hyperlocal Carmel Honey Company—a generous touch; and the two Monterey Bay Aquarium guest passes, a huge bonus, particularly since, at the time of this writing, general admission is $65 a pop. I will say I hadn’t quite understood what previous reviews had meant by “snug,” but in fact the 1BR/1BA is a converted, space-efficient BR, bath (shower) room, and a smaller WC—so, more like a studio apartment (i.e., no separate living area as you'd find in a hotel suite or a true 1BR apartment), albeit one with midcentury-mod panache. Even if you were or were with someone who’d like more space, though, the perks make up for it. A cozy stay for couples or solo travelers.
We had an awesome experience with the Miller Suite. The place was clean and extremely cozy. Great spot and would definitely recommend!
We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and in the perfect location. Host was very responsive. We felt right at home. Highly recommend!
The Miller Suite in Del Monte Forest was amazing. It is centrally located, with any activities in Pebble Beach, 17 Mile Drive, Carmel, Monterey or Pacific Grove all within easy striking distance. You are ten minutes away from everything, yet nestled in this quiet, secluded space. The Suite is cozy with all the amenities...Staci even provided some snacks and some local honey, as well as plenty of coffee! The landscaping at their place is stunning, complete with towering coastal oaks and plenty of drooping moss. The location is peaceful and tranquil. Overall awesome experience and the perfect weekend getaway. Thanks Paul and Staci.
Most folks don't realize that Pebble Beach is situated in the Del Monte Forest. There are 8 golf courses inside the gates (Pebble Beach Company courses are the Links at Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, and Spyglass; Peter Hay "the Hay" is a par 3 course. The NCGA home course is Poppy Hills. Cypress Point is privately owned by the members, and on most golfers' bucket lists. If you know a member at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club, either their Dunes or Shores course will spoil you). There are miles and miles of hiking and equestrian trails. It's a one-mile walk or drive to the Inn at Spanish Bay, where you can catch the boardwalk and walk the coast, or stay for drinks, a bagpiper performance at sunset, or a wonderful dinner. Wildlife abounds; deer are frequently spotted on the courses and on the roads. (Keep your eyes open at dusk - they are hard to spot on the sides of the road and frequently roam in pairs!)
Let's be honest: When it's dark, all the trees look alike. You may drive a car in but we'd strongly recommend Lyft or Uber to get around in the evenings. Not only is it more responsible if you've been imbibing, it will reduce frustration when you've taken a wrong turn and get lost in the forest (where it's not always possible to make your GPS work, because the trees are so thick!).
