The house itself was truly beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, with a large, well-equipped kitchen. Its generous layout made meal preparation easy, especially during breakfasts and dinners. However, I must highlight that we noticed cobwebs in some of the bathrooms and windows, indicating that the cleaning of the house was superficial. Additionally, one of the rooms emitted a strong odor of baby vomit, which we assume was from previous guests. We had to clean that room ourselves, and lastly, the noise generated by one of the bunk beds prompted us to relocate 2 people to another room. Despite these minor inconveniences, our overall experience was undeniably enjoyable. While there are areas that could benefit from improvements, they did not overshadow the enjoyment we had during our stay. Rather, they serve as minor details to consider for the comfort and satisfaction of future guests. We extend our gratitude for a memorable stay and look forward to returning in the future.

I loved my stay here! We arrived to cookies and bread from James, which was amazing. The house was huge and had the right amount of rooms. James was responsive and even called a taxi for us when we couldn’t get one. Book here!!!

James and Gemma were absolutely wonderful hosts! Their home was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. As international students from the US with no access to a car, James and Gemma recommended the best ways to secure taxis and gave us their phone numbers. To top it off, James even took five trips to bring us all to the bus stop to get back to Cork so that we wouldn’t have to walk through the rain and torrential winds. If I could give them more than five stars, I would! They went above and beyond as hosts and we all are so thankful for their hospitality and generosity!

We were in the house for the new year celebration. James was very quick in replying back to me any time I had questions. The house is very spacious and has everything you need for your stay. It was very clean as well. James left bread and butter for us when we arrived! We wish the house was warmer than it was, but generally we had a great experience. Highly recommended!

really excellent house with everything you could need. we stayed over Christmas with family and James was very good and dropped in wood for us to use the stove and fire. I highly recommend the house and James is an excellent host.
