The view to the river from the living room is amazing, you have the iconic statue of Christ just in front of you and the bridge 25 de Abril. It’s a very quiet and calm location, and on the 1st floor with no noise from the street since it’s a dead-end street with no traffic. (2x 80 x 200cm) A baby crib is also available upon request. There is a second bathroom which is very spacious, with a bathtub and also with POrtiguese tiles and natural Lioz stone. The hall way is covered by closets from beginning to end with 3 meters high rattan doors. On common areas, living room, dining room and kitchen are situated in a big open space with 4 windows and a great river view. The living room is spacious with a comfortable couch and armchairs. The kitchen is fully equiped with a nice kitchen Island where you can seat and enjoy the views. Includes a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, Nespresso machine, electric kettle, toaster and all the utensils you might need for cooking and serving. You also have an area near the kitchen with a washing and drying machine, vacuum, iron board, iron, mop and space to storage things. THE LOCATION: This apartment is located in Estrela, close to Lapa and Santos, one of the most well known neighbourhoods in Lisbon with typically Portuguese architecture, very central and by the river. The unique alternative stores, museums, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and art galleries combine perfectly with the diversity of the local residents. Just 5 min walking you have the museum of ancient art that represent true treasures at the national level, situated in a beautiful garden and with beautiful views. Over there you have a nice restaurante (Catch me Lisboa) with 180º river views. Walking distance from Santos, Bica, Chiado and Bairro Alto, in the centre of Lisbon, but without the noise of those neiborhoods. You are 1,5km from Santos, 1,7km from Bica and 2km from Cais do Sodre where you can find all kind of restaurants, nighlife, view points and shops. Chiado and Bairro Alto are just 2,2km away. Basilica da Estrela (Estrela Church) is very worth to visit and has a great garden, a place where you can find exotic plants and trees, a small duck-dotted lake, various sculptures and a children's playground. If you take the pedestrian bridge at the end of Infante Santo (2min) you get to the river. It has a nice pathway by the river and you can find in Doca de Alcantara a nice place for childreen to play and rent bikes and skates. Also near by you have Alcântara neighborhood, which is a rejuvenated post-industrial area, now filled with artists, entrepreneurs, and creative industries, as well as a good selection of trendy bars and restaurants. Don't miss LX Factory; a chic and hip road of converted warehouses that are home to boutique shops such as the brilliant Ler Devagar Bookshop and plenty of restaurants offering an eclectic mix of cuisines. Tram number 15 passes just 5/7 min away (station name: Infante santo) and does Praça da Figueira to Alges. It connects Baixa district to belem district. At a 10-minute walk is the Alcântara- Mar train station. The nearest airport is Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, 12 km from Lisbon. Alternative and not expensive: Uber Most of the primary modes of transportation, namely taxis, trams, train and buses are all within walking distance from the apartment, thus you will have easy access to the entire city. Uber is also a great option and it’s quite cheap. - To reach Praca do Comercio, its only 8 minutes by car or you can also take public transport, tram E25 or bus 714 and 728 714 Bus stop - Praça da Figueira - Bélem This bus departs from one of the city's main squares (Praça da Figueira) and passes by several attractions, so it's always packed. It also passes by the city's campsite, so it's one of the most popular buses throughout the day, with both locals and tourists. It takes you right to the entrance of the Ancient Art Museum (stop: "R. Janelas Verdes (Museu Nac. Arte Antiga)") which is the closest stop to the apartment. Then stops just around the corner from Lx Factory (stop: "Calvário"), and continues to Belém, stoping right next to the Jerónimos Monastery.
