We thoroughly enjoyed our caboose sleepover experience and are planning to return in the spring with our grandsons. The beds were really comfortable, and it was fun to be surrounded by the history of trains in Canada. The staff were very well informed and friendly. The whole experience was A-1.

My husband is a train enthusiast so sleeping in the 1921 Caboose was the perfect way to spend his birthday. The caboose was very clean and the beds were super-comfortable … my husband and I are tall and both slept perfectly. We spent the day walking, geocaching and exploring the different locks in the area and took some time to enjoy the museum when we checked in. We had a great prime rib dinner on the patio at the Lockmaster Taphouse then hung out and played games back at the museum. It was cool being in the trainyard alone at sunset. Overall, this was a really unique experience and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Note for future visitors: We recommend packing slides/flip-flops/slippers for quick nighttime visits to the main building.

A cozy and immersive experience. Spent much of the evening in the "cupola" (the little lookout in the caboose) reading trains books and tea provided. Loved being able to explore the grounds night and day without anyone else around! Absolutely recommend booking on an off-day and enjoying a whole railyard to yourself!
