Vue de vallee is a beautifully renovated farmhouse set in the heart of Normandy with uninterrupted, peaceful views of the surrounding coutryside. Sleeps 6 comfortably and is well equipped The house is fully furnished with two large bedrooms that can accommodate up to six people. Duvets and pillows are supplied but no bed linens or towels. The ground floor is open plan with a large lounge and kitchen-diner area. The outside has ample parking space and a large wrap around garden, which is securely fenced making it ideal for children and pets. The rear of the property has a large patio area and plenty of seating. Heating is by electric wall mounted heaters and a large wood burner in the lounge area with logs supplied at no extra cost. Bed linen and towels are NOT provided

Een heerlijk rustig huis, wel wat verder rijden vanaf de bezienswaardigheden. Kom je voor de rust zit je perfect.
Our stay at Paul's place close to Saint-Michel-de-Montjoie was very relaxed and peaceful. The house is huge, very spacious with comfortable beds and most amenities. The outside is also large, fully secure for dogs who like to explore, with stunning views across the valley. It was truly tranquil due to its countryside location and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet and looking out for the barn owl each evening. Our children liked the collection of DVDs to choose from each night and us parents liked the simplicity of life deep in the french countryside. No WiFi meant lots of reading, card games, chess and playing outdoors! The house makes a good base for visiting Saint-Malo, Le Mont Saint Michel, Sartilly, Granville (gorgeous city with old town, beach and tidal pool). We also visited Zoo Champrepus and Normandie Luge (both very good). Be prepared to drive as the house is rural but we didn't mind. A good stay overal.

Whilst there are 2 small villages nearby, the historic town of Vire is only 8 miles away. Vire is renowned for its traditional delicatessens as well as having all the amenities that you may need, along with a vast selection of restaurants and bars to suit every taste.
Many excellent attractions are within driving distance, these include 2 zoological parks and attractions for the younger child.
The house is also ideal for visiting the D Day landing beaches and also the world famous Mont St Michel
Direct train service from Vire to Paris.

We live in Dorset and close to Poole ferry terminal, so when we decided to buy a holiday cottage in France back in 2005, Normandy was the ideal choice. As we have 2 dogs it is also ideal for minimal travelling with them, so we welcome well behaved dogs to the house Every time we visit there is always something to see and do that we have never visited before. Being in the countryside we consider the best part of our cottage is the peace and quiet. As we have no light pollution, the time spent looking at the night sky is superb.
