Sophie’s place is in my favorite location that I’ve ever stayed in Brooklyn. The neighborhood is quiet and cute, with lots of young families. The coffee place nearby (Blank Street) is really good and there’s many great restaurants and shops nearby. The place is small, but perfect for an affordable stay in one of BK’s best neighborhoods

We enjoyed our 5 nights at Sophie's place in November, 2023. The bed was comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure and temperature. It's an easy walk to Court Street and Atlantic Ave. where the main shopping and restaurant areas are. Also an easy walk to the Barclay's Center for events. At least 5 subway stations within .5 mile or so. The photos make the unit look more light and airy than it actually is, particularly at night but the bathroom sink and shower stall are well lit. Each side of the bed has a little dimmable lamp that is convenient. We contacted Sophie a couple of times about minor things and she was responsive and kind. It's a good idea to be well prepared about the precise location on the block if you are arriving at night. We struggled with that a bit. Because of an NYC rule the address is shown as 250 Dean Street, but it is actually 130 Nevins. Look it up on G***** Street View to be sure about the location.

This was our 2nd stay at Sophie's lovely carriage house - loved everything about it - simple, calm, beautiful space - in a quiet, lovely, walkable neighborhood. Also, many terrific restaurants and interesting boutiques nearby. Easy, quick access to several subway stations - makes getting in to Manhattan a breeze. Sophie could not be a more accomodating, gracious host - who responded rapidly to all of our queries in advance of our arrival, and also to the one small glitch we encountered with the WIFI. Self check-in was a breeze. We can't wait to return to this enchanting place! Thank you so much, Sophie!

Very cute apartment in a calm and safe neighborhood! It is small but provides all you need, we even found a yoga mat and the bed is very comfortable. Sophie is a great host responding to questions quickly. Definitely recommended :)
