Second time here and it suited us for visiting family. Lack of phone signal inconvenient but had wifi which helped. Would have liked some information about where to eat and what to see

This was absolutely the best place I have stayed! The host is so lovely and friendly and went above and beyond to help me and my partner out! Upon arrival we had a difficulty getting a taxi to the place and she offered to pick us up herself, helped us with the buses, and even drove us into town when convenient! I cannot recommend this enough, also, her cows are lovely and will always make you happy to see!

We stayed for 6 nights for remote work; we enjoyed the space and amenities of the Loft (Roisin even offered to let us use their washer and dryer should we need it). The place was spotlessly clean too! Roisin was always so kind and responsive, as was her family, who warmly welcomed us upon arrival. (Roisin even put the heat on for us while we were out working late so the Loft was nice and warm on return!) The location is peaceful and quiet, and nearby Slieve Gullion is an excellent hike! However, there is little to do locally and I'd advise caution if walking in the neighbourhood as some residents have loose guard dogs that did approach us. We also had no phone service during our stay, likely due to remoteness. The internet was occasionally weak too, which wasn't the best for work. While the bathroom sink was narrow and difficult to wash in, the rest of the Loft was superb and the bed was super comfortable! Highly recommended for stop-overs or even longer stays too. Roisin was very quick to respond and made sure to give lots of detail and information prior to checking in. We were greeted by Malachy who was very helpful and friendly. The Airbnb was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our self catering stay. Roisin was so thoughtful to leave some wood for the stove as the temperature had dropped to freezing, so it was a very welcome gesture. There was nothing we could fault about our stay. It was completely peaceful, in ideal setting for a quiet break away. We would definitely stay again the next time we travel up North.
