Lovely little place, had everything we needed, small,cosy and comfortable. Easy walk to the heritage railway station, the river, the canal and the chain bridge hotel. Such a beautiful area. We walked into Llangollen along the canal towpath many times, stopping at the chain bridge hotel bar for a local ale before the quick stroll over the bridge and back to the house. Wonderful.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon. The barn was very cold to the extent that the bedding and towels on the bed felt damp! The bedding was clean I put the electric heating on to warm the barn up. The underfloor heating did not work at all. I went to have a shower around 9.30 Sunday evening and noticed the shower floor looked greasy I wiped it with a peace of tissue and it was not clean! I ended up cleaning the shower before I could use it. The pink towel behind the door was also dirty and stained as was the bathroom mat. In the kitchen we had to wash all the cutlery as it had the remains of food on it as did some of the plates, bowls and mugs. We normally cook whilst we are away but I went to get a pan out of the drawer and ended up with a hand covered I grease and did not feel like cleaning up after somebody else. The floors could do with a good deep clean and a coat of paint. I think we left it cleaner than when we arrived! It is such a shame as it is a lovely barn and in a great loca
