The house was very easy to find, located just off a main road which made check in with our friends quite easy. Beautiful grounds and land surrounding. The house could of done with a very very good clean before we checked in, the whole kitchen was filthy, with all the cups and plates covered in dust, seeming like they had never been cleaned or even used. Mosquitos and bugs throughout the entire house as every screen door had holes in them the size of baseballs. So having no air conditioning or fans made it almost impossible to sleep as we couldn’t open a window to get any relief from the 35 degree day when the southerly change came through. Windows painted shut so couldn’t open them either. Rooms were stifling hot with no chance to have any cross breeze.m The garden room should be classed as camping! There was holes in the tops of the windows allowing for every bug in the world to enter whilst our friends were sleeping, leaving them covered in mosquito bites all over.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aylmerton Rd. The property was exceptional and fully met our expectations. Holiday Collective were super communicative when our first property booking was cancellled by the owner and stepped in to find us a suitable alternative. All happened seamlessly

The property is beautifully quirky with wonderful gardens. Once we got the heating and fires pumping the house is incredibly cosy, but it really was the north facing terrace that provided us with hours of entertainment playing games in the sunshine, even in July!!

Average experience which was not helped by terrible weather which meant we were kept indoors much of the stay. Pros: Lovely environment, big sprawling homestead with loads of places to walk, explore and enjoy nature. Well kept outside (especially considering the size and weather). Cons: needs some investment inside the property for sure, agree with previous review that owner needs to upgrade few mod-cons, stove top, fireplaces, fix locks. If you are charging close to $2k per day, should expect things to work and be modern. Also, understand it is hard to manage a property of this size, but again, needs a thorough clean top to bottom for the price paid. A nice location but needs some internal work.

Absolutely amazing property- the photos do not do it justice. Would highly recommend!
