We rented all three units for an amazing week’s stay. Beds in the main house were super comfortable. Loved that the linens and towels were included. As with any old house, there are some unique quirks but we had plenty of space for our family. We loved the fire pit.

This is the perfect place if you have a large family or group that want to stay together. The old farmhouse is the quintessential farmhouse and all of its charm. The owners have a very well stocked kitchen and lots of games, books, and even some toys For young kids to play with in the main living room. The loft area is newly renovated and a really nice space! We didn’t end up needing the bungalow for space, but that was also a nice rustic space. The outdoor dining area and fire pit is really perfect as well! Location also super nice just a short drive to Marshall Point and a general store really close that has a great variety of items you may need. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay, but we had some issues. First thing is that there are five true bedrooms. There’s a king-sized bed in a living room with the main staircase goes right by the bed. It’s the only bed that is on the main floor (without stairs). The good was all the beds were super comfortable with clean sheets. The bathrooms needed some work. One toilet was broken and they tried to fix it while we were there. The showers could have been cleaner. One of the showers had black mold growing all around the sides (in the farmhouse second floor). I booked the house through AirBnB back in early January. I let them know through AirBnB the updated numbers of adults traveling in August. I called the week before we were scheduled to arrive. When we arrived at the end of September, there was laundry everywhere and a bucket in the kitchen sink. The cleaning lady was not informed of our arrival. We loved the sunroom that has a table. We sat there with our coffee every morning. The owner heard our complaints and worked with us especially with the broken toilet.

This place is a wonderful place to stay, close to a beach and Marshall Point. We would definitely come back to stay!

Our family enjoyed Christmas in July at Salt 'n Fir and we absolutely loved it! The location is unbeatable, and we had plenty of space to be together, while also being able to socially distance. We loved having dinner on the deck every evening and everyone's favorite was the firepit at night. This was a much needed and much appreciated gathering place for our family.
