Giancarlo was a gracious and excellent host. The place was beautiful and matched the pictures and the surrounding area was peaceful and beautiful to look at.

A very quiet peaceful private place just up the road from Scrofiano village. Clear views across Lake Trasimeno to the Appenines. There is a large Coop, Highway and trains a few kilometres away. There is a little deli/bar for bread, cured meats and wine. The hosts were very inviting. No one other than the guests reside on the premises. Giancarlo met us outside of town. It would have been daunting finding out way to the cottage even though it is easy to get to. It is essentially their holiday house so fully equipped with everything you need. Don't plan on streaming movies on the wifi. Mobile phone connections are poor in that area. It was adequate for messaging or Google maps.

Villa sijaitsi upealla paikalla ja se oli hieno perinteinen toscanalainen koti. Giancarlo ja Gabriella olivat erittäin hyviä ja sydämellisiä majoittajia. He reagoivat hienosti pieneen ongelmaan, jonka kohtasimme.

Wir wurden von Giancarlo und Gabriella herzlichst empfangen. Man erkennt was für ein Herzblut hinter dem Haus steckt. Sie waren immer zu jeder Zeit blitzschnell erreichbar. Wir wurden beschenkt von ihrem eigenen Olivenöl, einem Wein und einem selbst gebackenen Kuchen (Crostata)! Ihre Gastfreundlichkeit war exzeptionell! Das Haus ist ein Traum, der Ausblick ist phänomenal. Es ist ein großes privates Grundstück, wo man einfach seine Ruhe haben kann. Das Haus bietet alles was man braucht, es fehlt an nichts! Die Lage ist top, sie ist nah an schönen Städten und Sehenswürdigkeiten die man in der Toskana sehen sollte. Es war ein wunderschönes Aufenthalt, den ich jedem empfehlen kann!

We had the most wonderful stay at this lovely Vila. There’s so much to love about it. Our personal highlights were the morning coffees on the terrace (thanks to the espresso machine), daily soaks in the hot tub and evening drinks and snacks again on the terrace. We took the advice of a previous guest and got up early to watch the sun rise on our last morning. Just beautiful. We also very much enjoyed the little shop/bar in the village, with its simple but delicious lunches and wines. The village feels very authenticity Italian and the locals are very nice, despite the language barrier. The Vila is lovely and clean and easy to keep tidy, cook in and do laundry. The communication was good - we were met upon arrival and very much enjoyed our hosts hospitality and edible gifts. Highly recommend a stay here. A great base from which to see the wider Tuscan countryside - Montepulchiano being an especial favourite with us both.
