Nilka was a great host and was always willing to help. The neighbourhood is within a quite surrounding near the forest, and with a beautiful terrace. The property is located just 5 minutes by car from Ciudad del Saber, and 2 minutes by car or a 15 minutes walk to Clayton Plaza which has amazing restaurants.

I had a great time at Nilka's place. The house is located next to the jungle and the natural setting is incredible. Sitting on the patio, I saw coatis, agoutis and colibris and heard howling monkeys! Chilling in the hammock outside was definitely the highlight! The area felt really safe. I walked to Ciudad del Saber every day, which took me 40 minutes. The closest bus stop is 20 mins away: buses are every 10 mins, but during weekends, I sometimes had to wait 40 mins. The area is quite residential, without many shops around, so food shopping was a challenge. The house is tastefully decorated, the room is spacious and has a huge walk-in closet. It has fast wifi and many TV channels. Nilka was helpful when the AC had a problem. The bathroom is shared, which was OK, but it felt a bit crowded when Nilka's grandchildren were staying. Kitchen is fully equipped and you get your own mini food storage. A cleaning lady comes once a week and cleans the room. All in all, great value for the price!

I enjoyed every minute staying at Nilka's house. The room is comfy and clean. I loved her backyard with pure nature, I could stay day and night in her backyard. Nilka is an excellent host :) she gives you privacy but also approachable for anything you need. On my first day, she offered me a ride because I wasn't familiar with the area. And on my last night with her, Nilka gave me a tour in her car around Panama City at night, showing me the different areas like La Ciudad del Saber, El Dorado, the 2nd tallest building in Panama (formerly The Trump Tower) pretty fancy. If I ever visit Panama again I would definitely stay with Nilka again.
