The Arctic Getaway is a great location to enjoy rural Alaska. Wiseman is near to Coldfoot, where this is cell service and a restaurant with a great buffet. Uta’s place is perfect for heading north to Deadhorse or just going over the Atigun Pass to the North Slope of the Brooks Range and seeing the tundra. The cabins are well built, cozy, and supply the necessary basics. Uta’s sourdough pancakes with eggs and yummy coffee, combined with her pleasant demeanor, make for a lovely breakfast! I highly recommend Uta’s cabins for a nice stay in the Arctic Circle!!

First; the cabin was hand built.. and it is built like a tank. Everything is built extremely solid with no ‘wobble’ or creaking walking on the floors and steps. I know this is a random thing, but it’s something I took notice of and appreciated during my stay. The cabin was as described and provided all basic things needed for an enjoyable stay. Coldfoot is only 20 minutes away.. so there’s easy access to food, cell, and cell data. I’d certainly recommend Uta’s place to anyone; just remember how remote you’ll be prior to getting there.. you’ll need to pack your food and beverages while in Fairbanks.

Uta's place is a perfect choice when visiting northern Alaska! Would recommend to anyone traveling through Wiseman to stay.
