Our house is located in the popular Utrecht residential area Oudwijk, with the city center within walking distance and lots of local shops, coffee bars and a supermarket just around the corner. There is a small and (in summer) sunny patio and you can enjoy the evening sun on the bench in front of the house. To complete the homely experience, our friendly cat Billie will accompany you during your stay, all she needs is a bit of food twice a day and lots of love. Ground floor: Cosy and light living room with dining table, sofa, TV and wood stove. In the spring of 2022 we renovated and extended the living room and created an open kitchen, so this is brand new and fully equipped, including oven, dishwasher and coffee machine, quooker, refrigerator and freezer. Kitchen has doors to a patio where there is access to the pantry with washing machine and dryer. Toilet. 1st floor: Light master bedroom with 180x200 cm. bed. In summer temperatures stay relatively low here due to positioning on the Northwest side of the house. Bathroom with shower, sink, 2nd toilet and floor heating. 2nd floor: Attic with 90x190 cm bed, perfect for a child. Toys are available. This room is also equipped with an in height adjustable desk and chair.

I reserved Anne’s house on behalf of my parents who were visiting Utrecht for the first time. It’s a lovely place - it’s located on a quiet street, but close to shops and restaurants. The house is very well equipped with everything you could need to sleep, cook, do laundry, relax in the garden etc. Even though Anne was not in town, she was very quick to respond to our every need, and flexible about arranging check in. Billie is also a real delight! A very charming addition to the stay. We would definitely recommend Anne’s house for anyone staying in the neighborhood.
Anne is a great host She left helpful instructions and the house was exactly as advertised and so lovely that we picked up some design ideas to use at home ourselves. Billie the cat is adorable and no trouble at all. The location is excellent - a quiet road but within a few minutes walk of shops, bars, restaurants and only a 15 min walk to the city centre. We had a great and relaxing stay - it was a home-from-home for us. Highly recommended. Karen.
We really enjoyed our stay in Anne's house. It is comfortable and cosy ('gezellig') with all the necessary amenities. It is not too far from the city centre, but also lots of nice shops nearby. The neighbourhood is calm and friendly. Anne was very friendly and communicated quickly. Billie the cat was friendly and acted more as a dog than a cat at times! Only downside: parking nearby is expensive and free parking spaces are difficult to find. On the whole, I would thoroughly recommend this house.
A beautiful very well equipped home near the city centre with a tiny cozy garden. Some more sunshine would have been good :) Billie the cat is like a magnet, you can't stop stroking her.

We are at the end of a quiet street overlooking the train tracks of the Railway museum (Spoorwegmuseum). But not to worry, the only train that will pass is the slow train service between Utrecht Central Station and the museum (2 trains per hour). Just around the corner is the Burgemeester Reigerstraat, with lots of local shops (bakery, cheese shop, butcher) and some very nice coffee bars. Nearby is also the beautiful Wilhelminapark where you can walk and enjoy the sun or a drink on the terrace of restaurant Wilhelminapark. Also nearby is the Rietveld-Schröder house by famous Dutch architect Gerrit Rietveld. A 10 minute walk will take you to the city center of Utrecht, with shops, museums, restaurants and cafes and bars all present. When visiting with kids there are also plenty of fun activities: Nijntje (Miffy) Museum, several petting zoos and neighborhood playgrounds all within reach.
We will provide you with a selection of our favorite places to go and things to do in and around the city.
The busstop closest to our house is called Stadsschouwburg. From the Utrecht Centraal trainstation, take bus 73, 74, 77 or 28, get off and walk in the direction of the Nachtegaalstraat. It’s an 8 minute walk to our house.
Utrecht Central station is The Netherlands main train transportation hub, with trains to all corners of the country. Amsterdam (25 min), The Hague (40 min), Rotterdam (40 min), Eindhoven (50 min) are all within reach.
Schiphol AirPort is 30 minutes by train.
There is paid parking space in our street (mon-sat).
