We had a great holiday at Barbara’s place. The room is as advertised: - The room and bathroom as well as the shared kitchen and hallway are spotless clean. - There is a lot of light and the view from the room/kitchen is really as described: right next to the beautiful church (but don't worry: the bells don't ring during the night:). - Spacious: in the room there is a small table with chairs (and enough space to use them 😊) + a comfortable couch. The whole apartment is nicely decorated with a good mix of modern and traditional, culture and a touch of humor. - The bed is comfortable (good quality pillows and matrass) - The bathroom is big and very nice: separate shower and bath - The kitchen is well equipped - Parking in the neighborhood is convenient. The Esterhazy castle and the center of Eisenstadt are approximately a five minute walk. You can visit the surroundings (Neusiedlersee, Vienna,...) by car, bike or train. So the room ticks all the boxes for a nice stay. What really puts the experience apart of all the others is the personal touch of Barbara (“Babsi”). She is an energetic person who loves hosting people and that you notice. She welcomed us with a selection of her own fruits (plumes and dried figs). Although we only booked the day before, she managed to organize a winetasting for the evening of our arrival at her cousin’s vineyard which we recommend. It was simply a very warm welcome and a lovely evening. From the start she gave us plenty of suggestions on what we could do, visit and where we could eat: even proposing optimized routes to make sure we got the maximum experience during minimal time 😊. We kept communicating with each other and shared travel (and life) experiences (literally spending hours). Barbara was even so nice to further provide us with tips after we left and moved to another city/area (contacting her friends over there to ensure we made the most of our visit there as well – WOW!) Especially if you like a personal approach from a host who goes the extra mile, we definitely recommend.

Hey there! :) (: I'm Babsi - a dynamic, outgoing, maybe sometimes little crazy girl, born in Eisenstadt - the Haydnstadt, where my past, future & especially my heart is living. My heart was always pumping for meeting new people from all over the world, chatting & hosting - actully since I can remember! I started quite early dreaming of having my own B & B or tiny café. Since I was little I built step by step my way of life to get closer to this big goal. First of all I took several different educations & enjoyed looots of interesting, sometimes quite funny jobs in the tourism & culture sector. I've got a diploma in Kitchen, Service, Tourism & Projectmanagement, I studied Textile design & did my Bachelor degree in Art history. My best memories are definitely working as tour guide at the Esterhazy palace, in their art collection & winery. But my absolutely highlight over the last 15 years of job experiences: I got the chance to dress up as Haydn himself, walking up & down the pedestrian street, waving to people! It was hilirious & I would love to do this crazy fun job again!! My sweet husband (I'm married since May 2018) & I looove travelling so so much & try to go at least on tiny trips every second month. When we discovered Airbnb, our life changed definitely a lot - you can say it changed to the life we are living & enjoying right now like I described (be able to afford going somewhere else every other month). On top of that (my beloved lifestyle full of freedom) Airbnb allows me to grow my dream of hosting too! This possibility of earning money with doing what I adore, is just the best thing happening to me (besides marrying my best friend). Now - over the last 30 years my dream has grown to a huge vision filled with 1000 details & I start right now with the 1st part: hosting people from all over the world in beautiful, cosy guest rooms. I put all my passion & love in preparing a home for you which gives you a feeling of the Haydnstadt, his history, culture. I also wanna give you a bit of my time to help you enjoying this stay which you'll never forget!
