The farmhouse, which is over 300 years old, was originally a grain mill and production house for local fortified wine. The farmhouse, re-built and restored to its original design with high-tec and environmentally friendly building systems, retains the great character and history of the house throughout. All rooms are peaceful, relaxing and uniquely decorated. Indoors is naturally cool in summer and warm in winter – perfect as this offers a most relaxing and healthy holiday experience all year round! The surrounding land and vineyard is tended naturally by us: producing high quality extra virgin olive oil and wine for all guests to enjoy. Fresh vegetables and herbs from our garden are always available, offering each guest the possibility to wine and dine in a very sustainable way. Private catering and various wine events are available to all guests. Our Lunches and dinners, using only home grown or locally sourced organic produce can be booked in advance, as can wine classes and tours to local vineyards. Wonderful wildlife is abundant: butterflies, lizards, dragonflies, boar, deer, flocks of sheep and birds of prey can be seen everywhere, making your stay here a unique all round experience for all the family. Spectacular scenery in all directions – hilltop towns: Colmurano, Urbisaglia, San Ginesio, Macerata and the Monti Sibillini National Park – means the view is one of the best in unspoilt Le Marche. It is surely the most romantic place to see the full moon float across the horizon and the nightime and early morning skies are simply spectacular! Perfectly located for outdoor activities: hiking, climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, skiing, all water sports. "Le foglie ridenti" is near all major tourist attractions including museums, galleries and cultural interest as well as theatre, opera, music festivals, pilgrimages etc. Those on a road trip can easily come to relax after the bustle of Rome or Florence in less than 3 hours, and then go on to historical cities of Urbino or Áscoli Piceno in less than 1 hour. Also a ferry ride from Ancona port to coasts of Croatia, Greece or even Turkey! Nearest airport: Ancona (1hr) but many guests also use Pescara (2hrs), Rome or Bologna (3hrs).
