Awesome place, just what we wanted with a fantastic location, beautiful views and walking distance to 3 great pubs. The apartment was brilliant, comfy beds, fresh and clean decor and everything we needed. Liz was lovely; she had thought of everything and was super organised, responsive and helpful in every way throughout the booking process and our stay - she couldn't have done any more for us. I highly recommend, thanks Liz.
Fantastic accommodation, bright, airy, clean and tasteful. Fantastic views and location. We will definitely be returning - Liz is a great host and very responsive. Perfect for an overnight stop or rural getaway. Highly recommend.
beautiful spot, gorgeous views, cosy accommodation, soft bed, friendly local publicans. Very friendly helpful host. we would definitely go back!
Stunning location on the edge of an ancient Cotswold village, set high on a hill.
There are two excellent pubs, the Black Horse and the Amberley Inn, within a few minutes' walk of the property, both serving good food.
There is a shop and café open daily from 8am-4pm in Amberley church for all your essentials and treats, including fabulous Woodchester wine ( you can see the vineyards on the other side of the valley). The shop closes on Sunday from 10-11.30am during the service.
A short (fairly steep) walk will get you up and out on to Minchinhampton Common, where in summer cattle roam freely on hundreds of acres of National Trust land.
The picturesque small town of Minchinhampton is about a mile away, while Nailsworth, a bustling market town, is two miles away at the bottom of the valley.
Stroud, with it's award-winning Saturday farmers' market, is just over three miles away.
Large gravelled drive at the property in front of the Coach House.
Most people drive everywhere - there are regular buses but you have to walk down steep Culver Hill to the bottom of the valley to catch one as there is no service from the village.
The area is super-hilly so you can see why ebikes are gaining in popularity around here (they can be hired locally).
