For our yearly weekend away, we entirely enjoyed our time at the cottage. Bedding was absolutely clean, bathroom perfectly clean, kitchen clean, appliances very clean. The cottage appears be on the outside a work in progress. Host was very responsive to any information required.

The view is pretty because the place is in front of the lake. However, several issues made the stay not as comfortable as expected: 1. The place needs maintenance both inside and outside and is not like they show in pictures. Outside deck has a hole, kitchen blinds are old and rusty, appliances are not clean and ready to be used. 2. Before booking, I asked the host if the bbq grill was available and fully operational. He said yes but it was not the case. Propane tanks were empty (I was not advised to bring our own nowhere in the ad nor in our conversation with the host). Also, grill needs deep cleaning and maintenance urgently. Make sure you bring your own cleaning tools and prepare yourself to clean before cooking. 3. Charging the cleaning fee is a joke. There was trash all over the main entrance and the cottage itself did not feel clean enough. There are spider webs and dust, and the floor is definitely not clean. The fan was incredible dusty. 4. No kitchen towels+not enough blankets

When we entered the entrance, it was the first bedroom (double bed) which has no doors from living room. We felt bad for a friend who occupied the room because we always had to go outside through his room And 2 bedrooms are connected. The bedroom at the very end (Queen size bed) doesn’t have a private door as well. A bunch of trash bags that have been ripped were in the parking lot. Pet hairs were on every bed sheets and when I dropped my jacket beside the bed, the bunch of pet hair stuck on my jacket. The floor is cold but we needed to refrain to wear shoes. I recommend wearing indoor slippers. I hope Yasr maintains the house a little bit better.
