Very rural.. we had a late check in after 9. There was NOTHING to eat anywhere near. We came very unprepared. We had no idea. After a long day of hiking, we were very disappointed. If we would’ve known, we could’ve brought canned food for our stay. The cabin light wasn’t on at our cabin and it was dark when we arrived. It was unwelcoming. The bed was very uncomfortable. The rooms, bed, and shower were clean. Overall, it was VERY overpriced for what it is.

This cabin is in a very rural setting right next to a river and at the base of the eastern side of Glacier National Park which was beautiful. The view from the front porch was obscured just because of the trees, but the veranda near by had great views. The cabin is small but cozy. The microwave stopped working after the first day (of 3), but we were not using it. The bed was very hard, so if that is preferred, it will be comfortable, but we had a difficult time with the hard beds. The Lodge has so much potential and is GORGEOUS, but once you look around, there is not much else it has to offer. Staff was busy cleaning, and the lodge was very clean. Breakfast was less than what a Holiday Inn Express would offer and the coffee was not good. We were excited to eat at the Steak House but we were told the day before arrival that it was closed on Mondays- which was our first day. We did have dinner there the next night, but we were disappointed in the quality of the food, but service is good

Beautiful place but kinda hard to find and difficult check in not knowing where to go! Once in, the staff in the lodge were exceptional!

Our stay at Summit Mountain Lodge exceeded all expectations! Ted and his staff were so helpful and made sure that we had not only a great experience but Ted was always readily available if we needed anything. Ted even came to help with check in when we arrived later than expected! The cabin was so cozy and perfect for us to come home to after a long day of hiking. I couldn’t recommend staying here more and hope to return soon!

Great cabin and location. Clean and plenty of supplies. There is no cell service which is noted in the listing. Check in and check out communication could have been a bit better.
