Milica and her family are great hosts! She gave us handy advices for the area around and told us about where to find what. It was very nice meeting her, she even invited us for dinner the evening we arrived :) The appartment was very cosy and got everything you need for your stay. Make sure you stay with them when you are on the faroes! Hope to see you again! :)

Best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Milica and Zeljko are the perfect hosts. The apartment had absolutely everything you might need. Location is great. Very short walk to the ferry port and convenient to restaurants and shopping. Easy private parking right in front of the apartment. I would stay here again without question.

In the northern isles, lies a beautiful town called Klaksvik, where this apt is located. The apt is situated below the main house of the host, with gorgeous partial views of the surrounding mountains. There are a few very good eateries nearby such as Fish og Chips and Frida cafe. The town is quiet at night and you will sleep well. We mostly had a wonderful stay, although a strange event happened that I feel I have to write about. Its very rare that I write a "bad" review. While we were not home, the host entered to shut off a small stove fan/light I had left on and shut the windows we’d cracked open. Without our permission. I’d left the fan on because the day before, the Host said her fire alarm went off when we were pan frying toast. I didn’t hear this alarm through the paper thin walls but hey, I have no evidence to the contrary. So I left the fan on the next day after cooking to avoid any residual smells or disturbances. We did forget to close the windows (they were cracked open) and that’s our fault, we should have been more attentive to the windows and I acknowledge that. However, it does not constitute a “objective emergency” as stated in airbnbs terms. After I messaged her back about it (she told me on another messenger), she added that she also thought the stove might be on. I felt she added this bit because she knew I was upset and needed an excuse to enter. However, even that doesn’t constitute an objective emergency. There was zero indication of a stove being on. Zero wind present to blow the window more open as was the concern. I told her it was a violation of our privacy and instead of discussing it with me, she invited me to her daughters bday party… kind of a weird way to deescalate a situation (all on another messenger and Airbnb messenger). Her husband (in person later) told me I “don’t know how it is in the Faroe Islands.” Well, Airbnb is a US based website. With terms and service. Customers have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Again, I really don’t like having to air this out. But this situation gave me a horrible gut feeling. Airbnb agreed with me and said it shouldn’t of happened. Hopefully this won’t happen to other guests.

Det er de sødeste mennesker, som har et super hyggeligt sted. De er de mest hjælpsomme værter. De gør alt for opholdet skal være helt perfekt. Og de lykkedes med det. Vi kan på det varmeste anbefale dem som værter, alt var helt i top!
