Welcome to the Diamond Home, my amazing rooftop apartment - An apartment on the 5th floor of a Hanoi's 1980s building in Hang Tre Street, only few steps to Hoan Kiem lake – the centre of Hanoi Old Quarters. The impressive and unique point of the place is the romantic balcony with a panorama view to the lovely street of Hanoi where you can experience wonderful relaxing moments at home with miracle benefits from Hinoki wooden tub in the busiest area in Hanoi. A true experiment of a local life! My apartment lies on roof top of the 5rd floor in a typically old condominium of Hanoi. Each step you climb would be a memorial experience that you could barely find from anywhere in Old Quarter area. Although the climb is quite high, but is very clean, wide, bright, and can be compensated fully by a panorama view of rooftop. The apartment has wall of glass and a lot of windows so it is full of light. The balcony is designed as romantic islands with fresh air, green tree, relaxing chairs and a special Hinoki wooden bathtub for your relaxation and enjoyment. From here you have broad view to see typical houses and streets of Hanoi, sipping a cup of coffee, watching the sun go down is an experience not to be missed at Diamond home. Another special trait of my place is that while it locates in the middle of the Old Quarter and very close to Hoan Kiem lake and popular locations which are very crowded and noisy, it is a peaceful and quiet place. The apartment is large, consists of 2 bed rooms with total area of 45 m2, which can accommodate up to 4 people. Designed by the host with great passion in art and design, the house has many beautiful corners for customers to relax as well as taking pictures. The main decor of the house is rustic style, the balance between classic and modern. A wooden tub made from Hinoki is the highest class one due to a wonderful benefits bringing to human spirit and health as well as its natural, safe substance. It has been found that the phytoncide in Hinoki is very natural fine and has both a strong antibacterial and stress-releasing effect. The Hinoki tub is used to recover health, reduce bone pain, improve blood circulation, fight colds, detoxify skin pores, prevent illness and to create a sense of well-being. It can bring you a miracle benefits and perfect relaxing after a long day out exploring the vibes of Hanoi street lifestyle.

No door on the second bedroom is the only reason why I can’t give five stars. This is more of a 1 bedroom flex. Instructions to find the right building was unclear so we ended up walking up a five floor walk up of the wrong building and did it over again with the right building.

Disappointed if I’m honest. The plus sides are the the location, it is very well placed in the old quarter and near the Hoan Kiem Lake with lots of sights to see nearby. It has great aircon for hot days and although I didn’t use it myself, the bath looked lovely. For me the downsides took away from that. The apartment and apartment block in very dilapidated, it is very noisy as there is no good seal with with outside because of the shower and sliding door seals being in poor condition - this lets in noise and creatures like geckos and bugs in our case! Also, there is no separation between the “bedrooms” so this is not a 2 bedroom apartment in my opinion which was far from ideal. It is essentially a 2 bed “family room” which is fine if you’re a family but less good if you are friends/adults who want a semblance of privacy like in a normal Apartment. Moreover in my “bedroom” there is mould on the wall and just generally the condition of the room is poor. Can’t recommend I’m sorry
Die Wohnung war in einer top Lage. Die Stufen sind etwas anstrengend bei der Hitze aber es steht ja in der Beschreibung das es keinen Aufzug gibt. Die Wohnung war schön eingerichtet. Jedoch is der Straßenlärm sehr laut aber hat uns persönlich nicht gestört. Wenn starker Wind geht scheppert das Dach von Nachbarn.
This is a great place to stay! Close to so many wonderful things. And we loved the bathtub on the deck.

Just a few walks to Cafe Giang No.39 Nguyen Huu Huan street with famous egg coffee; Pho Cuong "beef rice noodle".
Opposite to the main gate is a delicious "Rice crepe" shop which is a great idea for breakfast or snack time. Further to the left, at the corner with Lo Su street there is a good place for "Bun bo Nam bo" - Rice vermicelli with sweet and sour sauce- and Bun bo Hue - Rice vermicelli soup in Vietnam central style. It is really worth for a try.

It takes only 10 min walk to Cathedral, 5 mins walk to Sword Lake, 3 mins to Old Quarters, easy to get the taxi, bus from just few steps downstairs.
