Zach was incredible! Responsive, helpful, & engaging - everything you would like in an Airbnb host. We had our 2 kids & Italian Greyhound with us. The cabin is exactly as pictured. The air conditioning units in the windows worked really well, even with the heat we only turned them on before bed to cool the rooms & left the ceiling fans run. There is a bit of an older home smell - but it’s light and truthfully it is an older home on a lake, so it’s expected. I enjoyed the house so much I’m not ashamed to admit I wanted to buy it! The location is PERFECT. It’s right on the canal between two lakes - we spent one day renting a boat from the Marina and the next day on our paddle boards hanging in the canal, listening to music, and searching for “shells” at the sand bar nearby. There is a lack of NON fast food restaurants in town - so we drove into New Buffalo and enjoyed a nice dinner and enjoyed the easy 20 min drive. Michigan City is also very close if you enjoy outlet shopping. Thanks!

Zach’s place was just as described and his communication was prompt and helpful. The home is well kept, log cabinish inside, clean and fully stocked with necessities. You honestly do not need to bring anything but food with you. It had everything we needed for a nice last minute weekend getaway. The air conditioner units worked very well, the water is well water (most lake areas are well water ) so we just grabbed a few gallons from the store (the town is just a few minutes away and has a ton of stores) for drinking and cooking, the outdoor patio area was nice for the warm nights. The area is very walkable, the neighbors are friendly, and there is a beach at Stone Lake you can take your dogs to within a couple of miles. It was a little more expensive but we did book last minute and had 3 dogs with us, so maybe that’s why. Highly recommend, it felt like ‘our’ lake house for the weekend. This was a fantastic place to experience and I can't imagine how many memories were made here over the years. Communication was quick to respond even troubleshooting my error, check in was super easy, and check out as well. As far as the place it was clean, modern decorating, with all the charm that comes with a cottage on the water. WiFi and TV options kept my partner happy. Did not cook, but many options for silverware, cookware, dinnerware to be found to satisfy anyone's cooking and eating needs. Kuerig onsite. Enjoyed the fire, the peacefulness of watching the water and boaters, and with one night of rain loved the three season porch! I brought cards and it may have been one of my favorite game nights of all time. Plenty of restaurants nearby, shopping, and Lake Michigan minutes away. I will note there were plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and etc. I didn't expect disposable dinnerware as that is not typical of most AIRBNB's. This was a 3 night stay and it was fantastic. I even read a paperback book. A pleasure I have not had time for in a few years. Thanks so much for the memories!
