Me, my husband, our 2 year old and 5 year old drove over 8 hours to reach our destination. We arrived at 10:30pm to check in this Airbnb and noticed 2 cars parked in the garage and shoes by the front door. We drove around a few times figuring we got the wrong address. The code didn’t work and I rang the doorbell and a man answered. He stated that he was renting the Airbnb and had it for another 2 weeks. I called and emailed the host and received no response. My two year old was screaming his head off for nearly the entire hour we sat there in our car trying to figure out where to go at 11:30pm. It was a disaster and HUGE inconvenience. I book with Airbnb all the time and this is the first. The host should have contacted us to let us know they double booked. The neighborhood appeared safe but I can’t rate the house because I never had the chance to enter. Communication was horrible but luckily I got my money back plus a little credit for the inconvenience. Watch out for this company!
