My family and I had a lovely stay at Joan’s house, the house was beautiful, very clean and had everything you needed to hand. The children loved the games room and we enjoyed the beautiful views from the house. Joan and her husband were also friendly and easy to contact. Very helpful with directions and information, we felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay. We would love to come back in the summer.

An excellent place for a family or friends travelling together. Lots of room to spread out or be together. Well equipped, comfortable beds, excellent wifi. Looked just like the pictures which is always nice. Would recommend Joan’s place in a heart beat. Only negative was that the dryer was out of order and we had some very wet and soggy days so it took longer to dry clothes inside the garage/games room. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Joan was very responsive and the instructions were very clear. All of us enjoyed the cottage.

Joan is a fantastic host and Stornoway View is a fantastic place to stay and a great base to explore Lewis and Harris

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed our stay at Joan’s house, it’s very comfortable, well equipped and we enjoyed playing pool and table tennis in the games room. It was an ideal location for us to explore Lewis and Harris. If we return to Stornaway we would definitely stay at Joan’s house again.

We had a brilliant stay at Joan’s place. It’s a lovely and well-equipped house and had plenty of space for six of us (four adults, a child and a baby). It’s in a great location close to Stornoway (but nice and quiet) with lots of room for parking on the premises. The ‘games room’ was a brilliant feature and we enjoyed playing table tennis, pool and darts. Joan was a great host – really helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!
