Awesome place and fun people that were tenting other canins in the area. Had a friendly neighborhood dog that my kiddo played with. Its 5 starts to the max! They provided an electric fly swatter but bring good bug repellent or it wont work and a bug zapper off of amazon because there were a lot and i will be bring a bug zapper next time. Great hosts nice fun to talk to and they love what they do.

Very neat getaway. Host was very involved. We appreciated the surroundings and the safe s’mores fire/solo stove provided by Jim. Good time on the water and very knowledgeable guide. Early in the season so practically had the place to ourselves. Thanks again.

Maria & Jim’s little place on the river is just fantastic! It was really perfect for my weekend trip. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the lodge was well stocked and great. It was nice to wake up to a hot shower, coffee and breakfast before heading out for my day. My only regret was not having time to do some fishing during my stay. (If you have ever done chartered fishing in Alaska, you’ll find that their all-inclusive fishing packages are incredibly reasonable.) In all, an A++ experience to be sure!

Couldn’t have been better. Cabin was beautiful and equipped with everything I needed (and lots of lovely touches / local design). Maria & Him were very helpful and the location was great.

Our stay here was AWESOME. My dad and I visited Alaska for his 60th birthday and not only did Jim and his team make him a delicious homemade birthday cake, but they also took us out fishing after dinner to celebrate. Everything, and I mean, absolutely everything (guides, food, community feeling, etc.) was great about staying at Deshka Landing. I would recommend to anyone and visit again in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything!
