The most beautiful and relaxing boho bungalow! The attention to each detail was impressive. We loved getting away from it all at this peaceful retreat! We enjoyed our time sitting under the stars, making a nice dinner, and enjoying the company of the sweetest dog!
The Nest is magical! The second we walked in we felt welcomed and relaxed. We had lots of privacy even with other guests in nearby cabins. I loved feeling secluded but knowing people were close by. We hiked the trails and the river is beautiful! cooking was easy with and electric stove top and an outdoor grill. Communication was excellent! The only thing I suggest is bringing a robe for relaxing in. This place was next to perfect.
I love the cottage design and how you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. A perfect escape for the weekend.
Our property is located among other large acreage properties in a rural area.
There is little to no public transportation in Glen Rose. Driving your own car is definitely recommended.
Living a crazy life married to a French rodeo cowboy and raising two little monsters. We love to travel and explore, especially in France. My hubby likes to explore outdoors, I prefer to explore wine cellars and cheese aisles. We both love to live like locals wherever we are and love suggestions from our hosts. We have been hosting guests on our property for over a year now. Our level of interaction is completely up to our guests. We love our hometown and sharing our favorite swim holes, restaurants and local attractions. Two years ago we almost lost our little girl to a ruptured brain aneurysm. She was only four at the time. Our life changed in an instant and we realized that the life we wanted for ourselves and her needed space and a slower pace. So I quit my teaching job and our little family moved to Glen Rose. There is so much fulfillment in what we do here and our daughter is thriving despite the brain injury she sustained. If there is anything we have learned from this it is to appreciate the time we have with those we love and experience as much as possible during the life we have been given.
