We had a wonderful stay at Whispering Pines! The bed was so comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast on Sunday was incredible - cream cheese stuff French Toast with Blueberries and Oranges - WOW!! Jeanna was a great host and and gave us wonderful recommendations on where to eat in Nebraska City as well as good insight into museums and shops! We had a perfect relaxing getaway - got to enjoy coffee and 60 degree February weather on the porch - highly recommend!!
This was a lovely stay all-around. The hospitality was spot on and the room even better than we expected. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was clean and we felt safe and comfortable. I will be back!
The grounds are so beautiful and we especially enjoyed the fire pit with wood provided!..and the hot tub has great jets! Jeanne is amazing and I highly recommend this place for a relaxing, lovely get-a-way!

A native Iowa girl, I spent about 20 years away in Arizona and Texas while in the Technology Industry. I've been fortunate to travel the globe for both business and pleasure. I was blessed to discover my passion for food and people and find my way back to the Mid-west to be near my family and roots where I settled in as an Innkeeper at Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast. I enjoy being involed with both our local community and Nebraska State Tourism. Come visit and we'll talk travel and food and maybe even cheer with a glass of something on the porch! When I travel, I like to seek out some adventure, like hiking or bicycling, immerse into the local culture, by visiting museums, or chatting with locals and tasting the regional foods. My life motto is "If I can live, give and travel, I'm a happy gal!"
