Lovey place to stay - can’t fault it

Austen Apartment was clean and comfortable. However, there are just a few aspects which I feel I should point out for the consideration of future guests. As the apartment is situated on a busy road we found it noisy throughout the night. Due to the age of the building, sound travels and we could often hear our neighbours. Parking is on a side road and on a couple of occasions we found it impossible to park. Internally there are changes of floor level in the lounge/kitchen but also in the bathroom. We felt the bathroom entrance was extremely dangerous as the door opens in a semi-circular ‘cut out’ in the floor and a step up is needed to enter the bathroom. If this step were missed, say in the night, you would fall headlong towards the bath. We feel some form of strip lighting could be fixed here for safety. Again, as a safety concern, we would have liked a fire blanket in the kitchen. The heavy fire extinguishers on the landing would be difficult to move if needed in a hurry.

A great find! Beautiful building and a really nice flat with plenty of home touches. Appreciated the tea and coffee being provided. Had a great night's sleep, nice and quiet. Loved the bath!
