John was a great host. It is the perfect spot if you are staying for a weekend in the area. I would not recommend going with kids, as you are paying for a bedroom. If you need more space, I would recommend renting a place with at least a common room, like what we ended up doing. Overall, John was responsive and was great to chat with.

John’s place is ideal for a country get away. John and Avril are excellent hosts, and I have no hesitation to recommend their place for other guests.

Absolutely fantastic stay at John’s. It’s a lovely house in a beautiful, peaceful village. It’s a great location for historic Avebury and our trip to Longleat was quick and easy. The house was immaculate and I would thoroughly recommend. They were both really helpful and it was a pleasure to stay there. Great trip and hope to come back soon!

De slaapkamer en aparte badkamer waren heel proper en mooi ingericht. De koelkast (met melk en water) en de kast vol boeken over trekpleisters in de buurt en spelletjes waren ook een bonus. De ontvangst was heel warm en vriendelijk. John heeft goed gecommuniceerd op voorhand met routebeschrijvingen, enz.
