We had a wonderful time! Would definitely like to go back in the summer. The history of the Grossman family around the house was so cool! They had everything we needed except food. My granddaughter didn’t want to leave!!

Amazingly organized cottage. It has everything you need. Very cottage like up stairs. Downstairs newer. It was so nice to have supplies like paper towels ect taken care of. We had a wonderful time. Thank you !!

my husband and I have been coming to Linwood for many years and wanted to stay in a cottage this time with our own daughter. the location of this one is perfect, right down the road from the beach, nice grassy area out back. it is very spacious and well organized and stocked with all of the essentials. I was super happy to know it had a crib as well. they don't use anything scented which is nice for people who have sensitivities or respiratory issues (as well as for babies!) we had an issue with one of the ac units not working and within an hour of me messaging Doug, he had someone out to take a look at it and fix it. however, I feel like some things should be higher prioritized. the sheets were about as comfortable as a sheet of plastic and the beds were not comfortable in the least. you are responsible for washing, folding, and putting away all towels and linens used prior to leaving. the washer and dryer and small and didn't have room for more than one set of sheets at a time (and that was pushing it). which meant on our last day, we started laundry at 6AM and didn't finish until almost 1, which was past check out time, but we had to stay to finish cleaning the linens. thankfully a few members of our party left the day prior, or we would have been even later washing stuff. the cleaning was also very lackluster. you could tell only the bathrooms were cleaned well and the floors swept. it was tidy but not clean. there was moldy seeds in the blender from whoever must have used it prior to us. overall it was a nice place to stay with a lot of homey touches. we appreciated the organization and products supplied and the location was superb. I'm not sure if we would consider staying again with the other issues listed above unless they were improved (better sheets/mattresses, and a bigger washing machine). overall, we enjoyed this place and will always return to Linwood!

This is a well-loved family cottage a block away from the lake. I chose this Airbnb because it’s centrally located in Vermilion where we attended the funeral of a parent that suddenly passed away. After a 14-hour plane ride from Alaska, we discovered that we were expected to make our own beds. This may explain why this location doesn’t charge a cleaning fee. Sadly, the mattress covers were dirty or missing. The mattresses themselves were stained and uncomfortable like the pillows. The towels weren’t much better either. The 2 bathrooms did appear clean and were well stocked with paper products. But the building itself indicated signs of neglect as it had spiders and dust. However, this location is unbeatable.
