Glowing Review for Chalet Silver Rock - A Dreamy Family Holiday in Alpe D'Huez Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Chalet Silver Rock in the picturesque Alpe D'Huez, and I must say, it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the incredible host, Jean. Seamless check-in process plus, throughout our stay, Jean reached out to check how we were getting on. The amenities at Chalet Silver Rock left nothing to be desired. From the well-equipped kitchen where we prepared delicious family meals to the luxurious bedrooms that ensured a restful night's sleep, every aspect of the chalet was thoughtfully designed to cater to our needs and preferences. Furthermore, the location of Chalet Silver Rock couldn't be more ideal. Situated in close proximity to the ski slopes and great restaurants. Alpe Express and Lobster Pot lift are both within a 1 minute walk. Recommend Chalet Silver Rock, Will certainly return.

Absolute luxury accommodation with everything to make your ski trip perfect. Everything you need is 2 mins away, so you couldn't get a better location. The host Jean, was superb. He explained how to use everything, was always on hand and gave some great recommendations. We will definitely be staying here again!!!

We decided to pay a little more to stay here, vs some other options purely because it was a group of 40+ friends all paying their own way, and wanted to enjoy some quality time together - after all, it's been a horrible 2 years for everyone. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at just how close the chalet is to not one, but two lifts. There is literally 2x opposite the road. 1 takes you to the heart of the resort where you'd then catch lifts such as DMC or Signal, and the other takes you to the Bergers region where you can grab Marmottes 1 and 2 up to Folie Douche or swoop across the valley. The Chalet has a ground floor consisting of a twin room, and a bunk bed room + 1 shared bathroom. Then, also a large boot room for skis/boards and boots (heated boot machine!) and plenty of coat pegs and shelves for all your needs. Oh, and also another room off that with a huge sauna! What's great is that the boot room is accessible by a separate door directly from the pathway, in addition to the front door. Level 1, the stairs brings you to a large living area with open plan kitchen + a toilet. A large 65" TV, huge oak tree/glass table and plenty of kitchen utilities and equipment including a beer pump (which we pre-ordered some kegs with Jean before arrival - I recommend the Corona!) Upstairs, is another level with the master bedroom and ensuite, plus a triple single-bed room with ensuite. The chalet has everything. Style, cleanliness, space, no cost cutting on utilities or apparatus around the kitchen and location wise it's perfectly located just outside of the main centre, but at the bottom (quieter) with instant access to Alpe D'huez's centre via a 5-10 min walk, or free (no lift pass required) ski lift just 20m away. We'd definitely come back here when visiting Alpe D'Huez.
