Die Unterkunft von Erika war sauber, ruhig gelegen und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Bett ist super bequem, die kleine Teeküche sehr praktisch. Ich war nun schon das zweite Mal Gast bei ihr, und ich würde wieder kommen.

My boyfriend and I spent a week in Slovenia, for which we were searching for a beach located accommodation for our last days as well. 2 months before our holiday we decided to pick Erika's place for it because of the amazing comments on Airbnb. However, our experience with her was completely different. We arrived to the accommodation at 9pm, where Erika's mother welcomed us to check us in. She showed us around the building and she claimed to do the paper work for our stay. At that moment, I sent Erika all our personal data that was required by the previous hosts as well and we wanted to arrange the parking for the car. Erika's mother didn't speak English fluently, but it came quite clear to us that the data is not enough for her, she wanted to scan our documents with a Slovenian application. My boyfriend explained to her that our passports contain also the personal security number, hence he wouldn't like her to scan that with an unknown application. She claimed that it only scans our data and it only types our data to the system. We offered her to type it in to make it easier for her or that they could type it in later from the message I sent to Erika. Because of the language barrier, it was difficult to make her understand our concerns. She typed in our personal data and she rushed home without saying bye. Some minutes later I got some angry messages from Erika claiming that we were disrespectful to her mother. I explained her nicely that we didn't want to seem like problematic guests. We had a long day and if she needed it, she could have asked for our personal data earlier just like the previous hosts. I highlighted the fact that there are some countries (just like the Nederlands, where my boyfriend is from), where are even stricter regulations for the security numbers and it can be easily used against careless citizens. These are just cultural differences and we hope that now they have everything that was needed. She asked for our covid passports as well, which I sent her in some minutes. She kept being angry and stated that this is her daily business and before us nobody has ever had problems with the process. At that point my boyfriend wrote her back that she should check the legal rules concerning personal data, but now that she has everything we hope everything is fine. She stated that we keep disrecpecting her and her mother so we have to leave the accommodation. She threatened us by saying that we have 5 minutes to decide if we want to leave now (it was 10pm!!) or first thing in the morning by 10am, with a "No worries, you will get your money back." message. Obviously we didn't have another place to go to that late so we decided to leave in the morning. Needless to say that nobody came to get the key from us so we needed to leave it in the room, unlocked. So we ended up on the street, trying to contact Airbnb's support group during the whole day. All the decent accommodations were taken, and we needed to stay in a different area because of Erika. Erika didn't only cause us discomfort and stress on our holiday, but also broke her promise to fully refund the money that was payed. I would recommend you to never stay at her place. You never know what she would call being disrespectful and you could end up on the street without any support.
