Rothbury · 客用套房里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · ROTHBURY - Ensuite room with king-size bed
Located in the centre of Rothbury, bordering along the Coquet River & in a quiet cul-de-sac, the accommodation offered is completely private, good sized and includes a kingsize bed, TV, WiFi & tea/coffee making facilities in addition to an ensuite bathroom with shower cubicle, sink and toilet. There is no access to the main dwelling and the only shared facility is the entrance hallway and garden areas. Total charge per night is £46. Two night min stay. Breakfast is not included nor provided. This accommodation is within an idyllic cottage and its listed facilities are completely private. Entry is via the main house door (there are three exterior steps) with access to the room directly ahead and four steps forward. Please note that access to the main dwelling area is not available. There are no other internal shared facilities offered such as the sitting room, kitchen, or access to any other living area of the main house. Guests are welcome to use the garden and courtyard seating areas. The room is very spacious and has been carefully planned to include all the necessary amenities whilst still permitting freedom of movement. The entry door leads directly into the main bedroom area which in addition to the previously listed facilities also contains a clothes storage unit, dressing table and hairdryer with the ensuite accessible via a second doorway on the far right hand side. There are hooks on the back of the doors on which to hang additional items. There are parking places for guests available directly outside the building and in a private courtyard area. The bungalow is located at The Maltings adjacent to the riverside. Single person bookings would have to pay the same total room rate of £52 per night. Late and unknown arrival times are not an issue as there is the facility for self check-in. Cancel up to 24 hours before check-in to get a full refund. Breakfast is not included nor provided but there are many local cafe's, shops, bars and restaurants nearby providing a variety of hot and cold food options in addition to a range of shops, which include amongst others a Co-op food store, award winning butchers, crafts, florist, newsagents, clothing and toy shop. Due to having high drop walls on two sides of the garden this property would not be suitable for young children. Please also note that the accommodation isn’t childproof and there are several other risk factors. The accommodation is not suitable for dogs or any other pets and I am therefore unable to accept such bookings. Internal access is restricted to the entrance hall and guest room with en-suite facilities. There is a sheltered courtyard and additional garden area available in which to sit and relax. We live at the property and would be happy to help with any queries or local information requirements.
Great stay, clean, warm and cosy. 1 minute walk to the centre of the beautiful village of Rothbury. Would stay again. Thanks Lynne
Lynne was quickly out of the house when my car arrived, about one hour before check in. No worries, she quickly allowed my bike in the gym room. The bedroom with Sky TV, a super comfy large bed, tea, coffee, milk sachets and Biscoffs. The bathroom with shower and fluffy towels completed all the highest luxury. Lynne was always ready to chat, and it was clear that she loved the area in and around Rothbury. She is very much at the heart of the social community with attempts to coax me to table tennis and Folk Music! Lynne is so knowledgeable, loves walking, I have enjoyed the chats with her and I would highly recommend Lynne’s hosting.
We had a wonderful time exploring Northumberland while staying at Lynn's place. Lynn is a brilliant host and her en-suite is super.
Central but quiet - just off the main street and within a small private courtyard area that cannot be viewed by passers-by.
The historic town of Rothbury offers picturesque surroundings, beautiful scenery and numerous activities in the form of walking and cycling routes, fishing, bird watching, golf, climbing and swimming pool. Positioned in the centre of Northumberland, Rothbury is known as the Capital of Coquetdale.
Rothbury and the surrounding area host many events throughout the year. They include a Traditional Music Festival held in July, a Round Table Street Fair in May, Cumberland Wrestling Competition in September and the Alwinton Border Shepherds Show in October. Live music is frequently played within the local hotels at the weekend.
Nearby attractions include Cragside House, Gardens and Estate, former home of the Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong. Situated about two miles from Rothbury this National Trust run establishment is well worth a visit at any time of the year. The first house to be lit by hydro electricity, Cragside is also now one of the last strongholds of the Red Squirrel.
There is glorious coastline only 30 minutes away, with castles at Alnwick, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and Dunstanburgh
Covering more than 400 square miles, Northumberland National Park lays claim to some impressive credentials. Running in the uppermost section of the park towards the Scottish Border are the lofty Cheviot Hills, whilst the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site dominates the south, with Kielder Water, including its highly popular night sky observatory & Forest Park to the west.
There is the option of bus travel to Morpeth, Alnwick and Newcastle
