我们一家第一次来澳洲，我们选择了Marguerite和Johe的家庭住宿，我是这样考虑的，第一、希望它是安静的，第二希望和房东也住再一起，因为我们是外国人，想了解澳洲本地人的生活。 感谢上帝，我们澳洲第一如此完美，完全满足了我们一切愿望，我们到的时候已经很晚了，天气很冷，John赤脚跑出来迎接我们，我可以想象Marguerite和John等了我们很长时间了，真是令人感动。 我们希望有家的感觉，这一切完全满足，Marguerite和John很像我的父母，但是我们是朋友。 我们很喜欢Marguerite和John的房子，它没有奢华的设备，但是非常温馨，每一处都看得出他们的用心，造成我太太讲今后我们在澳洲房子也这样吧！ 最令人惊喜的是Jasper和Dusty，我的儿子被狗咬过，有心理阴影，第一次见到庞大的Jasper吓得发抖，可是，我们一家人很快和Jasper和Dusty成为了朋友，我们非常爱他们，我还没起床，Jasper每天都早上都来问候我们，他及其温柔，他甚至会亲吻你，Jasper和Dusty像他们的朋友Marguerite和John一样那么温柔、那么善良，而且可爱。 我们永远记得和Marguerite和John一起度过的愉快时光，有两个晚上我们一起喝酒，虽然语言不通，但是并不妨碍我们的沟通和开心。 感谢Marguerite和John，你们就是朋友，就是家人。 感谢你们的晚餐和红酒。 感谢John送我们去海边和动园。 对了，我们刚到布里斯班，我的太太就在耳边唠叨什么事后去见你们。 我想，有机会的，因为我们是朋友。 感谢上帝，让我们认识了Marguerite和John。 我们爱你们。

Had the most wonderful stay at Marguerite and John's place! From the very beginning communication was great. We could arrive earlier, and John greeted us to show us around the place and explain all the amenities. Beds were comfy, everything clean, plenty of towels, blankets and a supply of the necessities like toilet roll, toiletries etc. Marguerite even messaged us before to check on our preference to milk! The outdoor area was just amazing! We loved being right on the river and we had a go in the double kayak! We loved Jasper being around and Dusty when he ventured out! Marguerite and John were very accommodating throughout the entire stay. Our son who we were visiting was also allowed to come over with his friends for a BBQ and a game of pool! We also swam in the pool which was such an added bonus. The set up makes you feel like you are in a resort! We enjoyed chilling in the evenings watching movies on the huge TV after a day out exploring. Thank you and we will be back! xx

John & Marguerite were very hospitable. Their home was the oasis we needed for our break. We loved the pool & entertaining area, with so many spaces to just be & relax. Their dogs are so well behaved. Jasper was just happy to hang out with us whenever we were out the back. You won’t be sorry you stayed here. We felt like we had landed in Thailand without the cost of getting on a plane.

We felt incredibly privileged to be welcomed into Marguerite and John's home. They are such lovely people and wonderful hosts, with an incredible home. We were made to feel right at home and really do look forward to returning one day in the near future. Thank you for allowing us to have this quality family time in your home. Marguerite & John’s place is as described - a peaceful oasis with great facilities, especially the salt water pool. Plus the bonus for us was 2 friendly dogs, especially Jasper - we really enjoyed his company with lots of pats & cuddles whenever we were home. We spent several enjoyable evenings with M&J chatting about the local area & their extensive overseas travels. Loved hearing about their one year road trip around Australia. They made some good suggestions of places to visit while we were there - we enjoyed a delicious lunch with rum & gin tasting at Husk Distillery. Mt Tambourine & the Natural Bridge in Springbrook National Park were also highlights. It was easy to rent bikes from Coast Cyclery in Tweed Heads & we enjoyed a 4hr return ride to Mermaid Beach. If you are looking for a base to enjoy everything the Gold Coast & northern NSW have to offer, with hospitable hosts, you won’t do better than Coolie’s Rest - highly recommended.
