After many years of nothing but excellent experiences with Air bnb, this is our very first bad experience and hopefully the last. Incomprehensible how you can make customers feel so inhospitable! We spent 2 nights at Le Manoir. Upon our arrival we were well received by Jan and we received an extensive tour with all do's and don'ts. The house is beautiful and the room was taken care of (just renovated and still ongoing). It is a pity that there is no mobile signal anywhere and the WIFI signal is only ok when there are no guests on the domain. During the tour we were told that we could only consume drinks from his fridge and against payment. This is not allowed by Air BnB seen it’s not mentioned anywhere in the house rules on the page of Le Manoir. The last day, at the pool we drank 1 beer of our own where Jan thought it was necessary to put us in our place immediately and that he wanted us only to consume drinks from his fridge because that's what he literally says is 'better for him'. Because of this we felt very much at our discomfort, after which Jan’s behaviour became more unfriendly and inhospitable! The communal refrigerator is a mini fridge of 90L. We had some food and drinks in it, where the next day Jan gave us in a very barking tone the question/comment if "all that garbage in the fridge was ours and that no one else could add something any more" (the second shelf was still completely free). After breakfast, which was well taken care of, we packed our suitcases, we searched for him to say goodbye where we suddenly got the response that we still had to pay €3 tourist tax. This is also nowhere mentioned on their page, was not indicated on arrival and therefor according to Air BnB also not allowed after we have checked these points with Air BnB. We gave him €5 as compensation for our beer at the pool but we advise him to take a break now and then. The last 2 days at Le Manoir we have noticed little of their hospitality and it was unfortunately a black spot on our further wonderful holiday in the beautiful region. Fortunately, there is an abundance of beautiful locations to stay because we strongly advise everyone to avoid this place.

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in de B&B van Jan & Marion! De voorzieningen zijn goed. Ze zijn heel erg gastvrij en doen echt hun best voor je. Ook kregen we een aantal goede tips over activiteiten in de omgeving.

Lovely house, beautiful rooms, great setting. Pool even has an alarm. However no phone signal! Although wi-fi signal is strong. Delicious breakfasts too, very fresh .

Nos 3 nuits chez Jan et Marion ont été très agréables ! Le silence et le repos y sont de mise ! La maison est superbe ainsi que la piscine. Le repas était excellent et les ptits déjeuners vraiment copieux ! Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié les "surprises" de Marion qui cuisinait tous les matins. Un très bon séjour dans un endroit agréable et très bien situé !

Being with Jan and Marion was a superb experience. Both are extremely kind and helpful. We had a fantastic time at "Le manoir" while enjoying our holidays and feeling relaxed the whole time. Breakfast was awesome, as was our room and Jan and Marion‘s help when we needed it. Thank you so much for being a perfect host. It felt like being in paradise...
