We both thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days with Dominique and her husband, Jean-Marie at their well-named guest house, Le Secret Bien Garde. We felt warmly welcomed to their beautiful home, lovingly and sensitively restored to its former 16th century grandeur, with very high ceilings, marble fireplaces, oak floors and panelling. The painted ceiling in the dining room was painstakingly returned to its original teal and terracotta glory. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and seating area. The bathroom shower was hot with good pressure. Breakfast was tastefully laid out, fresh and delicious and Dominique was always ready to suggest an interesting activity for the day. We visited the Basilica, had lunch in the lovely garden then visited the Charles the Gaulle memorial. Next day we went to the medieval town of Langres and walked around the ramparts overlooking the champagne vineyards and then on to the Museum des Lumieres and the Diderot exhibition. A delightful stay with perfect hosts.

Notre séjour a été tellement agréable dans une si belle demeure , accueillante et chaleureuse comme ses propriétaires , authentique et pleine de charme, que c'est avec regret que nous l'avons quitté , après un petit déjeuner "maison" délicieux, dégusté sur une table dressée avec un soin du détail esthétique proche du féérique. Une précieuse adresse.
