Private, off the beaten path with an amazing view of the snake river. Beds were super comfortable.

The view of the river from the deck is the selling point of this home, stunning! If you want to relax and just enjoy the view, it’s great It’s perfect for a couple wanting to just be alone. They worked the field during our stay, and for the most part we could barely tell they were there until they bailed hay on our last evening and the dust was a little bothersome for a while. We tried fishing from their “barge” but we weren’t equipped, having not fished Snake River before and the shrubbery that would float into and tangle our lines. It’s an impressive body of water! We did see deer and a couple coyotes on the island. Laura had recommended Y Knot Winery in Glenn’s Ferry a few miles away, so we had dinner our last night there and it was delicious, and did a wine tasting while there. With all that, we had some confusion about our reservation and Mike and Laura explained the situation and we felt very comfortable going ahead with our stay. They were very communicative and responded promptly before and during our stay.

The house is set in a Rockwell painting like setting surrounded by hay and alfalfa fields and looking down to the easy flowing Snake River. It's a place where bird hunters stay so be aware of many stuffed birds mounted on the wall! Pretty for some and maybe not for others The house is well stocked and equipped - with all you could need for a country vacation or work remotely. Bed was comfy and plenty of closet space to unload in. The whole house is spacious! Our dog accommodated nicely to outdoor or dog den/ mud room locations allowed for dogs - she is a ranch breed so she fit right in. Would definitely stay again
