Tonya was the kind of host we love. She went above our expectations to help make us comfortable complete with Lindt truffles on the counter for us. The view was beyond compare, outstanding!!

So you're in Kodiak. Since I grew up here I knew what to expect. The house itself is great, it's small, but it's great. A few things to remember, it is ON A HILL at 35° to drive up or walk, AND when parking your car put on your grown-up pants and use your e-brake (I had to back in and make sure there was room for other tenants). The stairs to the property can be troubling if you have luggage or are not in shape, be ready to HUMP your gear about 50 yards up the hill to the residence. Once you get there you will be fine and the view is AMAZING. From the home, it is a 2-minute walk to downtown Kodiak and the views every day are AWESOME. Since the home was built over 50 years ago space can be a factor. We packed light so not an issue for us. The house is old, or should we say "seasoned" be ready for seasoned. It's a great place to stay if you want to be close to the city and harbor. The house needs a hug and some TLC.

It was a “splurge “ for me..I was on the ferry with a high school swim team and opted not to stay on the floor of a church..since I wasn’t an official chaperone… loved the Hillcrest view and it was worth it!! a great nights sleep..thank you.. and absolutely amazing view and location…(would be nice to have a “locals rate}😎😎😎

If you are a couple this is the place to stay. Tonya’s space is exactly as described and pictured, has a great view of the Kodiak Harbor and town, and is close to everything. As she describes there a few steps up to the wonderful place but they are an easy stroll. We were here for 4 nights and the kitchen has everything you need to cook and watch the busy harbor. And the snacks and extras she has as part of you stay are best in class. We stay in Airbnbs 90 plus nights a year and this is one of the best and the spot is picturesque. The beds were very comfortable. A must stay if you are going to Kodiak. Cheers

Cute little place with great views of the harbor. There’s stairs up a hill, so be sure you can manage yourself and bags up multiple stairs. Cozy and comfy bed.
