First family trip staying all together with extended family. Plenty of room where we did not feel on top of each other. We enjoyed the smart TV options, baby/toddler ammenties-pack-n-play and high chair, beautiful scenery and comfy beds. My 4 year old loved seeing wild turkeys and a white squirrel! Plenty of kitchen items so my mother-in-law cooked breakfast most mornings. Easy drive to downtown Hendersonville and Asheville. Only complaint is creaking at night upstairs when the parents had to use the bathroom (we slept in bottom bedroom) but my husband and I just put the box fan on higher that was provided and we didn't wake up :) My 1 year old and 4 year old slept great. We enjoyed our stay!

The only reason I gave it a good score was because of the musty smell throughout. The cabin however worked out great for the 8 of us. We came in from 3 different states for my husband’s funeral, and we all had our own space. It was especially good that we were able to be in one place. With all the deck space, we were able to have about 20 people over after the funeral to share some quality time. Everyone loved the lodge. If the need ever arises we would definitely do it again. Thanks.

I brought seven women to the cabin for a writers' retreat. This really was the perfect spot. Plenty of extra areas with couches, desks, and tables. The walls were a little thin, so if you need to gossip, pass a note. :) The cabin is really well laid out. Beds were comfy. The kitchen had everything (though I hunted for an elusive cutting board), but everything is pretty old. Everything worked just fine, and I think the price fit the age of the place. The hosts were super responsive and flexible with my requests. We had a great experience. We saw deer a number of times, right by the back deck!

Our family had the best Christmas ever at The White Squirrel lodge! So much room! Beautiful surroundings! We were visited by a small herd of deer and a large flock of wild turkeys several times! We saw the white squirrel several times! Comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen, beautiful views and a good plane to walk dogs on their leashes. The kids had enough room to spread out! Ron and Darlene even set up a Christmas tree for us! Santa says The White Squirrel is one of his favorite places. Our family cannot thank you enough for all you did to make our time together so memorable. We all wish you a wonderful New Year!

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the quick responses from the property manager. This is a unique property and we enjoyed our family trip to Hendersonville.
